Introduction

FIT Uganda Business training department recognizes the prevailing business development challenges in most organisations that have emerged as a consequence of technological advances, knowledge gaps and globalization. It further acknowledges the need to assist in developing human resources whose knowledge, skills and practices are compliant to the changing demands on effective organisations by addressing clients’ training needs for both private and public sector on a commercially viable basis.

The department has experienced trainers, who handle all applications and management issues as well as carry out trainings and develop new products. The department also works with a pool of associate trainers and consultants who add expertise in a wide variety of specialisations.

Following our quality statement of continuous improvements and relevance, we are pleased to offer this exciting range of practice-oriented courses. The courses are ideal for human resource development at various levels within any organisation, having been carefully designed to achieve optimal individual and organisational performance.

Courses

We offer a range of courses to different target groups in the areas highlighted below;

 

-  Business development SMEs

-   Communication           

-  Records management for farmers (TOT)                                        

-  Farming as a Business (TOT)                 

-  How to form marketing associations (TOT)                                                   

-  Value chain development                                                        

-  Market information systems                  

-  Membership development and retention for associations                       

-  Project management

-   Proposal writing

-  Strengthening of social economic security of Orphans and Disadvantaged (OVC)

-  Tailor-made capacity building programs and trainings

-  Organisation of exposure visits, placement and management internships


Training Methods

-  Participatory classroom-based sessions with one or two excursions;
-  An integrated part of the course and learning approach is the individual Action Plan (AP). The AP will offer each course participant an opportunity to focus on a single well defined subject of relevance to his/her      organisation and prepare a short action plan for implementation;

-  Others will include; structured role plays, brain storming, theatre, facilitated group discussions, lecture, case studies, and demonstrations.

   

Venue

The venue will be arranged according to geographic location of the client(s) or the type of training.

Fees and Payment

Payment for trainings will be by cheque or electronic transfer to FIT Uganda account, unless otherwise approved by management.
